On Monday 4 July 2016, Citizens Advice Rural Cambs began operating some of its service from a new location at Huntingdonshire District Council’s (HDC) headquarters at Pathfinder House, Huntingdon.
Citizens Advice has moved from the Town Hall in Huntingdon to co-locate with HDC. This enables both organisations to provide access to services in a single place, therefore delivering the most efficient support to customers.
Councillor Darren Tysoe, Executive Councillor for Operational Resources, said: "I am delighted that Citizens Advice Rural Cambs has co-located here at Pathfinder House in Huntingdon. We are confident that this will benefit our residents, who will find it easier and more convenient to access a range of services all under the same roof and in a single visit."
Dr Batul Dungarwalla, CEO Rural Cambs, said: "Our service to clients will remain impartial, confidential, independent and, most importantly, free. Our move to Pathfinder House allows us to give Huntingdonshire residents a complimentary service under one roof whist maintaining our independence."
Drop-ins are on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am – 12:30pm, with no appointment necessary. A specialist service is provided on Thursdays, 9:30am – 12:30pm, which is specifically for debt and money advice. Citizens Advice Rural Cambs operates a ‘gateway’ system, where an initial short, assessment interview will be provided. If your enquiry is simple, it may be answered at that stage. For anything more complex, a full interview appointment will be given.
