A big thank you to all the Huntingdonshire residents who took the time to complete the 2015/16 annual Operations Division customer satisfaction survey.

The survey was available on the council’s website for a six week period between December 2015 and January 2016 and covered the four main services provided by the division - waste, street cleaning, grounds maintenance and car parks. Residents were asked to rate their satisfaction with all areas of each service including litter bins, grass cutting, parking charges and recycling collections, as well as staff friendliness and appearance.

With over 200 responses, the results were encouraging, demonstrating high overall satisfaction levels as follows:

  • waste collection services - 96% of residents are satisfied with this service, with dry recycling collections receiving the highest satisfaction levels

  • street cleaning services - 84% of residents are satisfied with this service, with emptying litter bins and street sweeping receiving the highest satisfaction levels

  • grounds maintenance services - 88% of residents are satisfied with this service, with bedding plant maintenance and grass cutting receiving the highest satisfaction levels

  • car parking services - 86% of residents are satisfied with this service, with the cleanliness of car parks and their convenience to amenities receiving the highest satisfaction levels.

All the results will be used to inform the provision of these services in the future and the survey will be conducted again this year.
