On 4 February 2016 voters in St Neots will go to the polls to vote in the area’s first neighbourhood planning referendum.

To be eligible to vote in this referendum, residents of St Neots must be registered to vote in local government elections and be 18 years old or over on the day of the poll.

Anyone not already registered to vote must do so by Tuesday 19 January 2016. You can find out how to register on the Register to Vote page.

Poll cards are being delivered from 30 December 2015 and polling stations will be open on the day from 7am until 10pm.

If you are unable to vote in person on that day, it may be possible to apply for a postal or proxy vote. The deadlines for applications are:

  • 5pm on Wednesday 20 January 2016 for postal votes and

  • 5pm on Wednesday 27 January 2016 for proxy votes.

The counting of votes will be held after the close of poll on Thursday 4 February 2016 in The Eatons Community Centre, The Maltings, Eaton Socon, St Neots.
