The market in Huntingdon High Street

Huntingdon market has completed its move to the High Street and there’s a real buzz in the town on market days.

Huntingdonshire District Council, which runs the market, has received great feedback so far, with many people saying how impressed they are with the new layout and commenting on how completely different the High Street now looks and feels on market days.

With the market stalls among the shops, the town already feels busier and as the market grows in size, even more will be on offer to residents and visitors to the town.

Great trading opportunities are still available for both the Wednesday and Saturday markets and we encourage any new traders that may be thinking about joining the market to get in contact in the coming weeks and months. In the first instance, send a photogragh of your stall with a short description of your operation to keith.salmon@huntingdonshire.gov.uk.

Executive Councillor for Operations, Councillor Jim White stated: "The market move is a key project for us in supporting Huntingdon town centre and it’s been a really pleasing start. One of the main things that people are commenting on is the positive difference in the atmosphere of the High Street on market days. As the market grows we will continue to do everything we can to ensure that it sits well within its new home and adds to the retail offering of the town centre as a whole."
