The Tour of Cambridgeshire(ToC) cycling festival is taking place in the district on the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June 2016. It starts and finishes at the Peterborough Arena and Showground and takes in parts of Huntingdonshire and Fenland.
The ToC is a mass participation cycling event on fully closed roads and is made up of two parts - the ToC Chrono (time trial) on Saturday 4 June and the ToC Gran Fondo race on Sunday 5th June. The Gran Fondo covers 80.2 miles and is a bike race at the front and a leisure ride at the back. The events are open to all, from elite athletes to leisure riders.
The events will involve road closures along the whole route, to protect both participants and spectators.
Rolling road closures will be used wherever possible to reduce the impact on residents and businesses throughout the day. The route is split into sectors and each sector will have specific times for closures to help you plan your day.
The ToC organisers are sending out a mailshot to all households and businesses that are on the route, or directly affected by the road closures, in April and May 2016. If you have any queries about the road closures, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
