Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) meetings will now be streamed live and offer residents the chance to witness proceedings first-hand from the comfort of their own home.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, to help keep the public, employees, and elected members safe, HDC council and committee meetings were held virtually. With meetings now being held in person again, we have been working behind the scenes to make meetings accessible to the public.
It's our priority to keep everyone informed and, following extensive testing, we are now ready to live stream our council and committee meetings. This means that from 12 October 2022, you will be able to view the following meetings online:
-
Council
-
Cabinet
-
Overview and Scrutiny Panels
-
Corporate Governance Committee
-
Development Management Committee
-
Employment Committee
-
Licensing and Protection/Licensing Committees
You can view these meetings by visiting our YouTube channel at the scheduled time, which can be found on our website. A schedule of all council meetings until April 2023 is available on this page.
Executive Leader of Huntingdonshire District Council, Cllr Sarah Conboy, said: "I am really pleased that we will be able to live stream council and committee meetings as it enables us to be more transparent with our residents about the decisions being made.
"It will also allow them to enjoy meetings from the comfort of their own homes.
"Residents can ask questions at meetings but need to give five days' notice before the relevant council meeting."
