Consultation: Planning Checklists

We are seeking comments on amendments to our planning validation checklists. To find out more and how to provide feedback please visit the consultation page.

A Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how local planning authorities such as Huntingdonshire District Council (the council/HDC) will engage with the community on planning matters.

This Statement of Community Involvement replaces Huntingdonshire District Council's Statement of
Community Involvement 2020 Update. The 2020 update included additional information on how the council would consult during the COVID-19 pandemic in compliance with government guidance, legislation and national social distancing measures.

Planning regulations require that SCIs are reviewed every five years and that they are updated to reflect any material changes that may have occurred. Consultation on a draft of this SCI took place from 1 February to 15 March 2023. After consultation the SCI was amended to reflect some of the comments received through public consultation.

This Statement of Community Involvement covers the following planning matters:

  • Involving the Community in the Production of Planning Policy Documents

  • Neighbourhood Planning

  • Involving the Community in the Planning Application Process

  • Brownfield Land Registers and

  • Monitoring and Review.
