We have many exciting planning projects underway - and many more in the pipeline. Every day, we work on a wide variety of applications, from urban regeneration schemes to rural proposals, including our £20 million Market Towns Programme, which includes funding from the government's Future High Street Programme. As a busy and dynamic planning team, you’ll find there's always something new and stimulating to be working on.
This includes overseeing the delivery of two strategic expansion locations allocated in our Local Plan - Alconbury Weald (up to 6,500 new homes along with community and commercial developments) and St Neots East (up to 3,820 new homes along with community and commercial developments). Together with other sites across the district, ranging in size and complexity, this offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with partners on placemaking projects, and see developments built and occupied.
We are currently involved in Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and Development Consent Orders for road infrastructure including A428 and East West Rail schemes and large-scale renewable energy schemes.
