Job details

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Administration Assistant has arisen in the Development Management Admin team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in planning administration to utilise their skills on more complex applications, support appeals, refunds and in supporting the wider planning team.

About the role

Able to demonstrate experience with validating planning applications and ready to take on more complex cases and processing of planning appeals. The candidate will be able to support the training of new staff members, communicating planning information clearly and concisely to staff and members of the public which may be unfamiliar with planning terminology. The role is managed by the Development Management Systems and Support Team Leader and supports the wider planning department including planning officers of all levels.

About you

A motivated team player, able to work to deadlines, the candidate we are searching for will have an interest in planning and developing a planning based career. With a eye for detail, a willingness to learn and seek the answers required to get work right first time, the candidate will be able to demonstrate personal responsibility and integrity for their work and duties and be capable of working on their own initiative in the interest of the team and service.

An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and are unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over Sponsorship for any role.

Candidates should therefore be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
