The Call for Sites ran from 29 March to 7 June 2023. It was an opportunity for people to send the council details of sites that might be suitable for allocation in the next Local Plan.
The Call for Sites asked people to submit sites with potential for:

residential use (such as housing, specialist homes, moorings, care homes)

commercial use (such as retail, leisure, industrial, logistics)
-
infrastructure (such as health uses, community facilities, renewable energy)
-
open space use (such as sports and recreation, allotments, biodiversity net gain, flooding safeguarding)
All sites submitted during the Call for Sites can be found on our interactive map and also in this spreadsheet [XLSX, 24KB], which is ordered by parish.
You can use this spreadsheet to find the Call for Site reference number (this starts with CfS). The CfS reference can also be found on the interactive map when you click on a site. This reference number can then be used to search on our Consultation Portal for the site submission. Please note, you only need to type the number into the search box. Here you can view further details of the site and any supporting documents that have been submitted.
Please note that the submission of a site only means that the site will be considered and assessed as to whether it has potential to be suitable for future development. This does not guarantee that it will be allocated for development in the Local Plan, or that planning permission can be obtained for the proposed development.
Next steps
Sites will now go through the first phase of assessment using the Land Availability Assessment. This webpage will be updated periodically, when further information is available.
Ongoing Call for Sites 2023-24
Although the main Call for Sites has closed, we recognise that some people may still wish to put sites forward for consideration as allocations in the Local Plan Update. If this is the case please visit our online consultation portal to submit your site details.
Depending upon the date of submission we do not guarantee that the sites will be assessed in time for inclusion in the 'Further Issues and Options' consultation materials scheduled for spring/early summer 2024. Sites not included in this will be taken into account in preparation of the 'Preferred Options' Consultation scheduled for summer/autumn 2025.
