Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) is improving and renewing some of its play areas.

Substantial improvements are to be made across three sites - two play areas in Riverside Park, St Neots and Oxmoor Lane play area in Huntingdon. The improvements are made possible partly through funding via S106.

Both sites will see new play equipment installed and refurbishments made to current play equipment.

Oxmoor Lane play area sees an exciting addition of new accessible play equipment, including a wheelchair-accessible seesaw, and three additional pieces of accessible play.

Executive Councillor for Leisure, Waste and Street Scene, Cllr Simone Taylor, said: "The improvements in both St Neots and Huntingdon play areas show our dedication to enhancing not only the play provision, but the quality of life for our residents. These spaces promote physical activity and creativity for our Huntingdonshire families and are vital for the well-being of our communities.

"We hope these spaces will become vibrant hubs for our families and represent our commitment to making Huntingdonshire an even better place to live, work and play".
