Huntingdonshire District Council is pleased to announce that local organisations can now apply for grants of up to £2,500 for initiatives that support their communities and the Huntingdonshire Futures Place Strategy.

Huntingdonshire Futures sets out a vision to make Huntingdonshire a better place to live, work, and visit over the next 30 years. Over the last year, the council has started to work with local communities to bring the strategy to life.

The grants will provide funding of £500 to £2,500 to enable groups to put on events or activities that support the Huntingdonshire Futures vision, such as improving physical and mental health, protecting and supporting our environment and celebrating our sense of history and place.

Cllr Sarah Conboy, Executive Leader of Huntingdonshire District Council, said: “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary as a council, we are excited to announce that we will be providing additional funding that will support our Huntingdonshire Futures Place Strategy.

“We are committed to actively supporting community initiatives that enrich the lives of residents and I am excited to see the positive impacts we can create together.”
